On
June 4, 2019 the City of Anaheim ratified a one-year $425,000 contract for the
Chamber of Commerce to spur business development locally.
The money is to be used to “… market the city as a place to start or expand a
business or find a job, and to help businesses take advantage of a federal tax
incentive program to encourage business investment” according to the Orange
County Register.
Within the city of Anaheim, the Chamber of Commerce is supposed to create an
“opportunity zone” program along with hosting a job fair and an economic
development conference. One of the past job fairs resulted in over 3,000
hirings at a time of high unemployment.
So, what does this mean for Anaheim SEO? More
startups and business expansions will require more digital marketing help
including search engine optimization services.
With the growth of startups and other business enterprises, supporting
businesses will also grow. Let’s cross our fingers (but not our eyes) and hope
that next year the City of Anaheim acknowledges the value the Chamber of
Commerce has provided and re-ups their contract once again.
