How long does SEO take to start working?
How long SEO takes to start working depends on several factors including how well the on-page SEO, off-page SEO was conducted along with how much competition there is for a keyword phrase. If there isn’t a lot of competition, you can see some results in a week or two. If there is a medium amount of competition then you can see results in a month or two. And, if there is a high degree of competition then it may take many months, years, or never to see results.
Is a SEO company worth it?
Yes, a GOOD SEO company is worth it! A quality SEO company can deliver higher rankings, more traffic and more phone calls to your company. A lesser SEO company, however, may not be worth your money.
Why is SEO so expensive?
Why SEO can be expensive depends on many factors, but the main one is competition. The more competitive your industry and the more competitive the keyword phrases are that you are targeting with your website, the more expensive SEO is. This is because more time and money have to be spent by the SEO company in order to accomplish your goals in a highly competitive field. Let’s say for instance you own a small electronics company and want to rank for “electronics” in Google. When you look at your competition, you’ll see Best Buy, NewEgg, Walmart, Amazon, Target and many other big companies with huge budgets that you’re trying to compete with. The only way to compete head-on is to throw a huge amount of money (more than your competition) over a long period of time. Now, let’s take another example and say you own a store that sells red and white striped widgets with rainbow sparkles online. Your main keyword phrase would be “red and white striped widgets with rainbow sparkles” and you would have a lot less competition and so your SEO company would have to spend a lot less time and money in order to get your website front-page rankings. This is especially true for Local SEO. So, in our last example your main keyword phrase might be something like “red and white striped widgets with rainbow sparkles + city” and thus your competition will be even less as will the cost of SEO.
How much does SEO cost?
How much SEO costs depends on the competition for your keywords and how much time and money will need to be spent by the SEO company (plus profit) in order to achieve your goals. Small businesses may spend between $200 – $500 per month, medium-size businesses between $750 – $2000 per month and larger businesses between $5,000 – $30,000 per month, on average. If you’re hiring an SEO consultant then rates are generally between $70 – $200 per hour.
