Google Rolls Out Shopping Tab New Deals Feature

Google is rolling out new tools which will connect the consumers looking for online deals and with the sellers looking to promote their products.

Deal feed on shopping tab:

Google is providing deals feed right on the shopping tab. It will also provide additional features for Merchant centers which will help the retailers running promotions, price drops and sales.

How will the Deals feed help us?

The consumers will get quick result while they will have queries for deal related products or event related deals. They can directly look for the deals through the deal feed under the shopping tab. When the retailers are offering a deal, it will be automatically shown under the deal feed of the shopping tab.

From the Merchants point of view, they can now check which of their products are eligible for deals badge from the products of Google Merchant Center. This eligibility is based on promotions, sales price and/or price drop. There are also provided with a dashboard which will show a detailed data-based guidance for rate for shopping ads for the products with deals badge. The data can be grouped by promotion type, brand, product, or category.

Retailers now can show their deals in multiple places. So, dealers should keep their products feed up to date to benefit from this opportunity to reach more shoppers. Their workload has been reduced by Google and they can easily get the updates whether their product is eligible for the deals feed under the shopping tab of Merchant Center or not. Based on the performance of Shopping ads for the products with deals badge can also help the merchants to understand what type of deals or which product categories performing the best when on-sale.

Deeper Integration with Shopify and WooCommerce:

Retailers who are using the Shopify Google Channel app or WooCommerce’s Google listings and Ads, will be eligible to display their promotions in Search and Shopping tab. They can directly show their existing and new products promotion from their store dashboard.
