History of Yorba Linda City in California

Yorba Linda was originally home to Tongva, Juaneno, and Chumash Indians. Jose Antonio Yorba who was a Spanish expeditionist with Gaspar de Portola explored the land in 1769.

Yorba Linda was incorporated in 1967 after Anaheim’s annexation bid of 1963 failed. The Don Bernardo Yorba Ranchhouse site is today recognized as a historical landmark.
